1. Olivia's Tea Party - Callie's friend Olivia invited her to a really cute birthday party. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture :( . But Callie was really excited to dress fancy. She wore her white dress that Grandma Great made and a white feather boa with a white hat. It's fun to see my rough and tumble girl enjoy a fancy moment.
2. Callie's Dinner for Mom and Dad - Callie was so cute and wanted to have a restaurant. She made a menu with the many different things she could think of that she could prepare - spaghetti, ramen, apples... I forgot to write the list down.
3. David's Birthday - David turned 32 this year, and I think for the second time in our almost 10 year marriage, I hired a babysitter so we could go out to dinner. We still took Davy because he was in the clingy stage and we didn't want to abuse the sitter with a screaming child, but it was still nice to go out together. Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
4. Valentine's Day - Hmmm...So I'm playing catch up from six months in the future. Valentine's Day is in my notes. I know we must have done something :). David usually does something cute, but as much as I'm sure I loved it, I don't remember six months down the road on a late Sunday night. But, thanks honey, I loved it! :)
5. Girl Scouts Sales -Callie and Alyssa were both selling cookies this year! Yeesh! But we managed to get rid of them before it was too late. Thanks to everyone who bought cookies!

January 2012
Sorry no pictures! I'm totally playing catch up, and publishing this list I typed up months ago. It is now August! Sooooo behind.....
1. Callie goes iceskating - Callie went to her second activity for Activity Days. They went ice skating and then got apple cider afterwards. She loved it! Thank you Mary and Dawn!
2. Trip to Utah - We went to Utah to look for a house to buy, and for David to do some work. David got lots of work done, but we didn't have any house success. :(
3. Trafalga - We went to Trafalga with the Michaelis' (Grandpa and Grandma, aunts and uncles, and cousins). The kids loved it. They can't wait to go back.
4. Dinner with Hinman Family - We got to have dinner with the Hinman side of the family. It's so much fun to be with family!
5. Welcome Jace Michaelis - Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Alex welcomed a sweet baby boy to the world. He is darling!
6. Ice Skating - Haven and Alyssa were so envious of Callie's ice skating excursion that we promised them we would take them ice skating when we were in Utah (where is costs half as much!). We just barely squeezed it in. Mom and Davy couldn't make it (due to bed time), but Dad and the girls and Grandma and Grandpa Michaelis had a blast.
7. Planetarium - We also take the girls to the Clark Planetarium whenever we're in the Salt Lake Area. It's free and they are fascinated by space. Thank you for being free!! Our tight budget loves you planetarium!
8. Staying in a hotel - We got a late departure on Friday, so we opted to stay in a hotel. We usually just drive the 12 hours, but we don't like to drive late into the night for safety reasons. So we stayed somewhere, and it was just thrilling to our kids! They loved it!
9. Notes from Alyssa:
From the 100th day of school:
I wish I had 100 friends
I wish I had 100 head bands
I wish I had 100 big my little ponies
But I wouldn't want 100 shots
I could eat 100 marshmellows
I could eat 100 m+ms
I could eat 100 scittels
But I could never eat 100 friends.
Dear Julianne,
I want to tell you about Thomas and George's behavior today. First Thomas and George were trying to get us. Second, they made us cry. Third, we came outside sence we were inside
Alyssa Quote: His name is Henry and he's just a baby. But then he is going to grow up and we'll KNOCK HIM DOWN, and then he'll like us and want to play with us!
